Why no lock-on functionality?
In Barbaric Fury, while drawing inspiration from the Souls genre, I made a conscious decision to deviate from the traditional lock-on functionality. Rather than attempting to replicate established mechanics, I sought to create a different combat experience that prioritizes player freedom and adaptability. By omitting the lock-on feature, my aim is to encourage players to rely on their own instincts and strategic thinking, enhancing the fluidity and dynamism of each encounter. I humbly believe that this departure from convention adds an extra layer of challenge and depth to the gameplay, allowing players to engage with the game world in a fresh and exciting way.
